2 Or Giuda, che lo tradiva, conosceva anch’egli quel luogo, perché Gesù s’era molte volte ritrovato là coi suoi discepoli.3 Giuda dunque, presa la coorte e delle guardie mandate dai capi sacerdoti e dai Farisei, venne là con lanterne e torce ed armi.4 Onde Gesù, ben sapendo tutto quello che stava per accadergli, uscì e chiese loro: Chi cercate?5 Gli risposero: Gesù il Nazareno! Gesù disse loro: Son io. E Giuda, che lo tradiva, era anch’egli là con loro.6 Come dunque ebbe detto loro: "Son io", indietreggiarono e caddero in terra.7 Egli dunque domandò loro di nuovo: Chi cercate? Ed essi dissero: Gesù il Nazareno.8 Gesù rispose: V’ho detto che son io; se dunque cercate me, lasciate andar questi.9 E ciò affinché s’adempisse la parola ch’egli avea detta: Di quelli che tu m’hai dato, non ne ho perduto alcuno.10 Allora Simon Pietro, che avea una spada, la trasse, e percosse il servo del sommo sacerdote, e gli recise l’orecchio destro. Quel servo avea nome Malco.11 Per il che Gesù disse a Pietro: Rimetti la tua spada nel fodero; non berrò io il calice che il Padre mi ha dato?12 La coorte dunque e il tribuno e le guardie de’ Giudei, presero Gesù e lo legarono,
Luke 22
47 While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him,48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him.52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

43 And immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.44 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man. Seize him and lead him away under guard.”45 And when he came, he went up to him at once and said, “Rabbi!” And he kissed him.46 And they laid hands on him and seized him.47 But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.48 And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me?49 Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled.”50 And they all left him and fled.51 And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him,52 but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.
Matthew 26
47 E mentre parlava ancora, ecco arrivar Giuda, uno dei dodici, e con lui una gran turba con spade e bastoni, da parte de’ capi sacerdoti e degli anziani del popolo.48 Or colui che lo tradiva, avea dato loro un segnale, dicendo: Quello che bacerò, è lui; pigliatelo.49 E in quell’istante, accostatosi a Gesù, gli disse: Ti saluto, Maestro! e gli dette un lungo bacio.50 Ma Gesù gli disse: Amico, a far che sei tu qui? Allora, accostatisi, gli misero le mani addosso, e lo presero.51 Ed ecco, un di coloro ch’eran con lui, stesa la mano alla spada, la sfoderò; e percosso il servitore del sommo sacerdote, gli spiccò l’orecchio.52 Allora Gesù gli disse: Riponi la tua spada al suo posto, perché tutti quelli che prendon la spada, periscon per la spada.53 Credi tu forse ch’io non potrei pregare il Padre mio che mi manderebbe in quest’istante più di dodici legioni d’angeli?54 Come dunque si adempirebbero le Scritture, secondo le quali bisogna che così avvenga?55 In quel punto Gesù disse alle turbe: Voi siete usciti con spade e bastoni come contro ad un ladrone, per pigliarmi. Ogni giorno sedevo nel tempio ad insegnare, e voi non m’avete preso;56 ma tutto questo è avvenuto affinché si adempissero le scritture de’ profeti. Allora tutti i discepoli, lasciatolo, se ne fuggirono.
