17 and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha.18 There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”20 Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek.21 So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but rather, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’”22 Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”23 When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom,24 so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfill the Scripture which says, “They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.” So the soldiers did these things,25 but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
Luke 23
33 E quando furon giunti al luogo detto "il Teschio", crocifissero quivi lui e i malfattori, l’uno a destra e l’altro a sinistra.34 E Gesù diceva: Padre, perdona loro, perché non sanno quello che fanno. Poi, fatte delle parti delle sue vesti, trassero a sorte.35 E il popolo stava a guardare. E anche i magistrati si facean beffe di lui, dicendo: Ha salvato altri, salvi se stesso, se è il Cristo, l’Eletto di Dio!36 E i soldati pure lo schernivano, accostandosi, presentandogli dell’aceto e dicendo:37 Se tu sei il re de’ Giudei, salva te stesso!38 E v’era anche questa iscrizione sopra il suo capo: QUESTO E IL RE DEI GIUDEI.
Mark 15
22 And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull).23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.24 And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.25 And it was the third hour when they crucified him.26 And the inscription of the charge against him read, “The King of the Jews.”27 And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left.29 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,30 save yourself, and come down from the cross!”31 So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying, “He saved others; he cannot save himself.32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe.” Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.
Matthew 27
33 E venuti ad un luogo detto Golgota, che vuol dire: Luogo del teschio, gli dettero a bere del vino mescolato con fiele;34 ma Gesù, assaggiatolo, non volle berne.35 Poi, dopo averlo crocifisso, spartirono i suoi vestimenti, tirando a sorte;36 e postisi a sedere, gli facevan quivi la guardia.37 E al disopra del capo gli posero scritto il motivo della condanna: QUESTO E’ GESU’, IL RE DE’ GIUDEI.38 Allora furon con lui crocifissi due ladroni, uno a destra e l’altro a sinistra.39 E coloro che passavano di lì, lo ingiuriavano, scotendo il capo e dicendo:40 Tu che disfai il tempio e in tre giorni lo riedifichi, salva te stesso, se tu sei Figliuol di Dio, e scendi giù di croce!41 Similmente, i capi sacerdoti con gli scribi e gli anziani, beffandosi, dicevano:42 Ha salvato altri e non può salvar se stesso! Da che è il re d’Israele, scenda ora giù di croce, e noi crederemo in lui.43 S’è confidato in Dio; lo liberi ora, s’Ei lo gradisce, poiché ha detto: Son Figliuol di Dio.44 E nello stesso modo lo vituperavano anche i ladroni crocifissi con lui.
